Festival Fringing, Aztec Prints and Summer Hair

The dust has just began to settle in Punchestown after last nights explosive performances by Coldplay and Beyonce and while Oxegen has wrapped for another long year there are plenty more days of drinking, tunes and sunshine to be had on the mainland with Benicassim just around the corner. Although Coachella and Glasto are mere memories at this stage, the style inspiration from veteran attendees like Alexa, Kate and blogger Rumi Nealy will no doubt live on for the rest of the summer. Two of my favourite trends this summer Aztec prints courtesy of L.A.M.B and western fringing a la Ralph Lauren also happen to be very festival appropriate. Below find my choices for festival perfection and some of this summer's hottest and easiest hair trends to try whether beach or Benicassim bound. A special thanks to Sinead who allowed me maul her Rapunzuel-like tresses without complaint, she played her part as my perfect doll exceptionally well for the morning.

2011 summer hair trends.

Erdem's Halo Braid.

Probably the most difficult look to execute of the lot. Start french plaiting the hair from behind the left ear forward and around the back staying close to the hair line.

Sleek Pony.

Tie the hair into a high ponytail. Cover the band with a small section of hair and clip. Apply salt spray to the tail and crimp random sections for volume.

Daisy Chain.

The hair band is from Topshop. To begin coat the hair in Bumble and Bumble texture creme for volume and that undone quality. Next haphazardly curl varying sized pieces of the hair using an Amika wand in random section. Use dry shampoo to give volume and backcombed the crown. Clipped the front back and finally put the head band on.

Fish Tail Plait.

Feathers.

Prepare hair as in the daisy chain look accept keep it loose. Plait small sections of hair randomly throughout the head and tie with a band. Stick feather earrings in the band and Voila!

The amazing makeup was done by my model herself so I can't help you out there friends. I will most probably be absent from blogging until I return from my little sojourn to Bali! Until next time.. x
